Celebrate National Day of the Cowboy with us with special programming! Drop in anytime between 11 a.m.–3 p.m. for a family-friendly afternoon exploring the stories, skills and traditions of the American West. The fun includes:

  • Hands-on gallery experiences, including touchable objects and artifacts related to cowboy gear and tack
  • Roping practice, yee-haw!
  • Special storytime in the galleries
  • Open studio artmaking inspired by frontier life
  • Plus, live performances of traditional cowboy songs by docent David Dean, known as “Cowboy Dave,” in the Frontier Gallery at 11 a.m. & 2 p.m.
This open-house-style event is included with admission and offers fun for visitors of all ages. Enjoy a $17.76 admission special for Adults & Seniors online and at the door July 25–27 in honor of 727 day.
