Join fine art photographer and printmaker Ray Bidegain for a fascinating look at the historic photographic processes that continue to inspire artists today. Working in many of the same techniques used by photographer Edward S. Curtis, including photogravure, platinum printing, silver gelatin printing, and gold toning, Bidegain will share how these handcrafted methods shape his own artistic practice while providing insight into the processes behind Curtis’s iconic photographs.

Using Edward S. Curtis’s work as a point of connection, this engaging talk explores the craftmanship and beauty of traditional photographic printing techniques through the perspectives of a contemporary artist who continues to practice them today.

The program includes a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A
