We Love TEachers!

The James Museum places a high value on the work you do as teachers, and we want to support your educational endeavors. We offer these perks in hopes that you will visit us often and collaborate with us as we work to educate people about the American West. 

Special Exhibition Access for Educators

We invite area K-16 educators to relax, recharge, and reflect at the James Museum. View our upcoming special exhibitions with free admission on the following Tuesdays. These self-guided occasions offer an opportunity to explore inspiring artwork and engaging subject matter.  

February 21, 2023 – The Stories They Tell: Indigenous Art and the Photography of Edward S. Curtis
June 13, 2023 – Un/Natural Selections: Wildlife in Contemporary Art
October 17, 2023 – From Far East to West: Frontier Stories from Chinese America 

Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the above dates, and every Tuesday. Reservations are appreciated, but not required. Email education@thejamesmuseum.org. Please present your school ID at the admissions desk to pick up your complimentary ticket.   

TEACHERS’ NIGHT OUT AT THE MUSEUM

Join us for a night out at the museum, a perk just for teachers! Enjoy free admission, light refreshments, a cash bar, free art poster, and live music. Meet The James Museum educators and explore our school tour options.

Free Admission for Teachers in July

Teachers with valid ID* are invited to visit The James Museum free of charge during the whole month of JulyWander the galleries, soak in the stunning landscapes and explore the stories told by the art.

*Must present one of the following: a valid school/institution ID, verification of employment on school letterhead, school business card, or approval from The James Museum Education Department.

Teachers can save every day of the year with discounted admission and membership rates.

Reduced Regular Admission: $15 for teachers
$40 Educator & Student Annual Membership Level
School-issued ID required.
