Film | “The Ballad of Little Jo” (1993)

Inspired by a true story, a disgraced 19th century society girl, Josephine (Suzy Amis), journeys west. Disguising herself as a man for fear of predatory men, she eventually settles down in a small town. As “Little Jo,” she confronts all the dangers the Wild West has to offer, but her most treacherous enemy is her own heart—when she risks everything by falling in love with the one man who knows her secret. This film will be introduced by independent filmmaker and network television writer/producer Chris Ward. 2h; Rated R.
