Gender Expansion: Supporting LGBTQ+ Communities Beyond the Binary | Esmé Rodríguez

Themes of gender and sexuality permeate news headlines and remain the subjects of intense family and community conversations. At times, people conflate sex assigned at birth, gender, and sexuality, when, in fact, they are three separate topics. Equality Florida’s Esme Rodriguez gives an overview of terminology and culturally relevant issues which challenge binary notions of gender and sexuality. In learning about identities that are beyond the binary, participants will become more adept at how to support the overall well-being of LGBTQ+ youth and families in our communities.
