America’s first Native American Poet Laureate, Joy Harjo, shares a collection of stories, poems, visions, and dreams woven together with the facts of her life. A member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Harjo survived domestic abuse, teen pregnancy, and bad decisions on the way to becoming a poet, author, educator, and performer. Join us for camaraderie and a great discussion led by Helen Huntley.
