Book Club | “Calling for a Blanket Dance” by Oscar Hokeah

In his debut novel, Oscar Hokeah tells the coming-of-age story of a Kiowa/Cherokee/Mexican American boy who grows up in poverty in Oklahoma. He finds support from family and community as he matures into a man determined to save both himself and his children.
