A Conversation: A Crow a Day

Join us for a talk over Zoom with artist Karen Bondarchuk. In 2014, she embarked on year-long drawing project as an homage to her mother, who had advancing dementia. She created a crow drawing each of the ensuing 365 days as a way of marking the unfolding of time that her mother no longer seemed to recognize. This conversation will delve into some of the inspiration behind that Ergo Sum: A Crow a Day project, as well as the artistic process of trying simultaneously to grieve and celebrate her mother’s life.
