This month, The James Museum’s Manager of Adult Programs Ernest Gendron (Wôbanaki/Nakoda) will take a look at the Pežiŝtą Wakpa Okiĉize (Battle of the Greasy Grass)—popularly known as the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Looking at why this and other battle-sites are often regarded as a “clash of cultures,” Gendron will share his own perspectives on the interpretation of “Indian Wars” sites in North America.
