Youth Organization Tours

Tours are offered for youth ages 4-18. All tours are led by knowledgeable docents. Every tour includes age appropriate hands-on activities.

Duration
4-6 year old tour: 60 min.

4-6 year old tour + art making: 90 min.

7 years & up tour: 90 min.
7 years & up tour + artmaking duration: 120 min.

Artmaking

During selected weeks artmaking activities may be added for an additional $5 per youth.

Admission

Youth: $5 each
Chaperones: One free chaperone for every 10 children
Adults (who are not a free chaperone) with a youth group: $15 per person
Artmaking component: $5 per youth

Capacity

Tour: 60 children

Artmaking: limited to 40 children at one time

All youth must be accompanied by chaperones with a mandatory ratio of 1 chaperone for every 10 children.

Payment

Admission is due in full on the day of your visit. You may pay by credit card or check.

Parking

Personal Vehicle Parking

Museum parking is available on levels 3 & 4 of the automated South Core Parking Garage located at 101 1st Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. The height limit of the parking garage is 6’10”.

The first hour in the garage is free and $1/hour after that.

Bus and Van Parking

Buses and large vans may pull up to the museum’s entrance at 150 Central Avenue to allow passengers to disembark. Buses and vans that do not meet the parking garage height requirement can reserve metered parking spaces near the museum. Each parking space is approximately 8’ x 22’. The cost is $10/per space.

Alternative bus and large van parking can be arranged through the SP+ Parking Office at 727-896-2256 or stpeteparking@spplus.com.
The SP+ Parking Office will be able to assist with providing parking information and collecting payment.

Confirmation

Your tour is confirmed when you receive an email confirmation from the James Museum Education Department.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so via email.

Lunch

Walk to a nearby green space to enjoy your lunch. Bring bagged lunches or order boxed lunches from The Canyon, the museum’s onsite cafe. Please allow an extra 30 minutes for lunch.
