Youth Organization Tours

Tours are offered for youth ages 4-18. All tours are led by knowledgeable docents. Every tour includes age appropriate hands-on activities.

Duration
4-6 year old tour: 60 min.

4-6 year old tour + art making: 90 min.

7 years & up tour: 90 min.
7 years & up tour + artmaking duration: 120 min.

Artmaking

During selected weeks artmaking activities may be added for an additional $5 per youth.

Admission

Youth: $5 each
Chaperones: One free chaperone for every 10 children
Adults (who are not a free chaperone) with a youth group: $15 per person
Artmaking component: $5 per youth

Capacity

Tour: 60 children

Artmaking: limited to 40 children at one time

All youth must be accompanied by chaperones with a mandatory ratio of 1 chaperone for every 10 children.

Dates

Tours are available weekdays between June 10 and July 29, 2019

Artmaking activities are available ONLY during the weeks of June 17, August 1, August 15 and August 29, 2019

Parking

Individual vehicles (height limit of 6’10”) may park in the city garage located above the museum for a $1 hourly rate. The garage entrance is on the back of our building, on 1st Ave South. Metered street parking is also available in the vicinity.

Buses

Buses may pull up to the museum’s front entrance at 150 Central Ave. to allow students to disembark.

Buses and vans too large for the garage may park in the City of St. Petersburg off-site lot located at 800 1st Ave S. This lot is located 9 blocks from the museum and a 15-20-minute walk for most people to return to the museum. There is a 5$ charge for each vehicle carrying children parked in the city lot. The fee will be added to the cost of your tour.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel your tour reservation, please do so in writing. Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel no less than 30 days prior to your tour date. Or you may reschedule your visit based on museum availability.

Lunch

Walk to a nearby green space to enjoy your lunch. Bring bag lunches, or order boxed lunches from the museum’s Canyon Café. Please allow an extra 30 minutes for lunch.
