In accordance with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control as well as local and state government recommendations, we have made changes to our daily operations. While exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present and we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit, we are taking many precautions designed to protect the health of our visitors, staff and volunteers. Below is a list of our school group requirements. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us work to keep you and our community safe.

FIELD TRIP LENGTH
1st through 12th grade students are invited to participate in this experience. All tours are led by knowledgeable docents.
GRADE LEVELS
1st – 12th grade visits: 90 minutes in the galleries
Please allow extra time for arrival, check-in, and lunch.
FIELD TRIP ADMISSION
Students: $8
Teachers and chaperones (1 adult per 10 students): free
Additional adults: $15
Capacity
Our group capacity has changed until further notice. We can accommodate groups of 10 to 60 students at one time. One adult chaperone per 10 students is required. Classes must be split into small groups of 10 children with 1 adult chaperone each. A docent will guide each small group.
Payment
Field trip admission is due in full on the day of your visit. You may pay by credit card or check.
Confirmation
Your school tour is confirmed when you receive an email confirmation from The James Museum Education Department.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so via email.
Lunch
Walk to a nearby green space to enjoy your lunch. Please bring bagged lunches and allow an extra 30 minutes for lunch.
Parking
Museum Parking is available on Levels 3 & 4 of the automated South Core Parking Garage located at 101 1st Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. The first hour in the garage is free and $1/hour after that.
Buses
Buses may pull up to the museum’s front entrance at 150 Central Ave. to allow students to disembark. We will provide directions to an offsite parking lot upon arrival.
