This documentary series explores the revival of traditional Indigenous tattooing practices around the world. Each episode dives into a unique Indigenous culture to discover the artists’ tools, techniques, symbols and traditions that shape their tattooing art.

Elle Festin’s tattooing practice includes founding a transnational collective that has popularized traditional Filipino tattooing around the world.
“Skindigenous Season 3, Episode: Regina”
From Regina Saskatchewan, Stacey Fayant is a Metis and Cree tattoo artist giving back to her urban Indigenous community by revitalizing the practice of skin stich and hand poke tattooing.
“Skindigenous Season 3, Episode: Sudbury”
Isaac Weber is a multidisciplinary artist who is both Créole from the Cape Verde Islands (West African Atlantic Islands) and Anishinabek from Inlet First Nations and uses tattooing as a means of reconnecting with family and community.
