In December 1941, the American Volunteer Group—the “Flying Tigers”—fought their first air battle with the Japanese over China. For almost four years afterwards, the Flying Tigers worked heroically alongside Chinese service members and civilians to bring WWII to an end in Asia. Cultural anthropologist and Sister Cities Association of Saratoga City Director for Xiamen, China, Kun Shi will present this fascinating talk about this historic collaboration during WWII.
