Ongoing Conversations | Kirk Ke Wang: Mystery & Inspiration on Gim Gong Road

Kirk Ke Wang, artist and Professor Emeritus of Visual Arts at Eckerd College, will explore a body of work he made based on a chance encounter with a local Tampa road sign that piqued his interest. Seeking to uncover the history of Gim Gong Road at the intersection of Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, he undertook a journey of discovery that led him to a multi-media art project inspired by the past. Born in Shanghai, China, Kirk Ke Wang’s work is exhibited and collected both nationally and internationally.
