Dr. Laurie Marker is one of the world’s foremost cheetah experts, as well as a zoologist, researcher, author, educator and founder of the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF). Visiting from her home base in Namibia, Dr. Marker will join in-person to speak about her ongoing work with cheetahs, for which she was the 2020 recipient of The President’s Award for Conservation from Explorers Club. This talk will showcase groundbreaking initiatives in conservation, genetics and ecotourism, all focused on the vital mission of preserving cheetahs in their natural habitat.
