Director Terrence Malick has created some of the most visually arresting films of the 20th century, and his glorious period tragedy Days of Heaven, with its Oscarwinning cinematography, stands out among them. In 1910, a Chicago steelworker (Richard Gere) accidentally kills his supervisor. He flees with his sister and girlfriend to the Texas panhandle where they find work in the fields of a stoic farmer (Sam Shepard). Romantic complications and tragedies ensue. Join local filmmaker Kristy Andersen for a talk-back following the film. Rated PG; 94 min. Seating is limited.
